Turning Points . . . for Stepmoms
<> <> <> <> <>
I'm working on a new stepmom book and I'd be honored to have you be
a part of it! The publisher has tentatively titled the book "Turning
Points for Stepmoms," and I want to share your wisdom, your stories,
your strength with our readers. Can you help me?
I'd love to hear your stories, mistakes, advice, victories, lessons
you've learned, what you've done right and wrong, your feelings and
fears, how you've found strength and courage, and if it applies to
you – the power of prayer in your steplife and how God's guided and
sustained you.
Specifically we'll discuss such issues as communication, scheduling,
a stepmom's demands and responsibilities, extended family members,
your stepkids' mom, parenting styles, finances, the speed
of "blending," adult stepkids and more.
Any story or snapshot from your time as stepmom will be greatly
appreciated! Here are a few questions to help you if you need a
little more guidance:
| *how have you found joy, peace and purpose amid the demands and
complications of your role?
|
| *how do you define your place in the family, how has that changed,
and how have you grown over the years?
|
| *what's the most valuable contribution you've made to your family
and/or marriage?
|
| *what's your best advice for a struggling stepmom?
|
| *how has stepmothering changed you?
|
| *do you remember a specific "turning point" when you realized you
didn't have all the answers and settled into God's control of your steplife? Or are you looking for that point?
|
| *what's your most inspiring stepmom story?
|

No comment is too small -- you know how valuable that word of guidance, inspiration or hope is to a new or struggling stepmom. Please share what you've learned so that we can all learn more.
Please write to me today.
Thanks so much!
